Mid-Columbia Center for Living

SUM worked with Mid-Columbia Center for Living (MCCFL) in The Dalles, Oregon, to create a dedicated space for providing youth-focused comprehensive mental health services in a safe and welcoming setting.

Care rooms offer ample access to natural light and acoustic privacy, while specialized rooms support parent child interaction therapy. Additional area is also set aside for teens with dedicated spaces where they can relax, focus on skill building, or have quiet time.

The new space functions in many capacities: as a clinic, a safe harbor, and a place for learning and healing. It also directly supports the care-giving team to meet their own unique requirements for a workplace. The design balances the complex interplay of these various needs with warmth and attention to detail.
